On each image are used 2 colors lying opposite each other in the color wheel. I originally painted three images of six regularly spaced colors in the color wheel (1992 and twice in 2000). But I later added other colors to a total of 18, so for 9 images. Already done 5 images, remaining four color combinations are still waiting for a suitable topic.
